www.funderfinder.org.uk This is a site for advice on charitable trusts and foundations. Some of the products are free, others but may be accessed through libraries or resource agencies. There is much useful guidance on sources of advice and information, how to identify the right funders and what to consider when approaching them as well as links to directories and other information sources.

www.aco.uk.net This website provides a free service to individuals in need, their supporters and advisers. They aim to match people with the appropriate benevolent or occupational funds or service charities to meet their needs. The helpline, 01707 651777, is available 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, but do check the website before calling to ensure you have all the relevant information to hand so they can assist.
 
www.turn2us.org A free, confidential service to help people access the money available to them through welfare benefits, entitlements, grants and other help. A helpline 0808 802 2000 is available from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and is free from most landlines and mobiles.
 
www.family-action.org.uk Family Action runs the Educational Grants Advisory Service (EGAS) for charitable funding for post 16 education or training within the UK.
 
www.connexions-direct.com The Learning and Skills Council provides advice, including information on financial support for childcare and for disabled students to continue education.
