London Funders AGM

08 Dec 2021

This year's AGM will be taking place on the 8th December, from 15.00-16.30.

As part of the AGM, we'll be hosting a panel discussion on what 'levelling up' means for London. We know that the aim of ‘levelling up the whole country’ is currently high on the government’s agenda, will it come at the cost of investing in London’s communities, which has the highest rate of poverty in the UK? How do we bring London into the conversation about levelling up and what would a ‘levelled up’ London actually look like? These are big questions to consider as we emerge from the pandemic – now is a unique time for funders to think long-term while also looking at the opportunities for how London can be part of the levelling up debate. To discuss this and more, we’ll be joined by:

  • Manny Hothi (Chief Executive at Trust for London)

  • Dave Hill (former award-winning Guardian London commentator and now founder and Editor of On London)

  • Cllr Elizabeth Campbell (Leader of the Council, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea)

  • Alba Kapoor (Senior Policy Officer, Runnymede Trust)

This year’s AGM will be held online via zoom. As you register for the meeting, please confirm if you are the voting representative for your organisation, which you can do here (password is AGM21).
